Hi Holly,
Warm Greetings for the year 2010!
I read the report. The concern has been there for how to check children's indulgence in television and internet surfing which is increasing alarmingly at the neglect of areas imporant for their all-round growth and development such as outdoor activities or sports. The ready instant sources of socil interaction such as Face book has caught the fancy of children who are hooked to it and would spend hours together making friends and exchanging messages. They stay glued to television for colourful cartoons and teenager serials. The once reliable source of news and entertainment, our dear newspaper, has nowadays everything minus the content useful for children. Who bears the onus! The Parents-the community-the enviroment or the system which encourages ready made quick solutions for instant entertainment through readily avaiable ICT tools. - Mala

Hi Holly,

It's great to meet you and get your message. It's also a privilege to be part of this network. I found this from the IICRD website. I'm an MA Candidate from the University of Ottawa and my husband is in the Navy. We were living in Victoria, BC and just moved to Halifax, NS. Anyway, take care and I look forward to future discussions and collaborations.

Best,
Jhoanna

The user identity (sign in!) refused to acknowledge me. At last, I tried all combinations and permutations but it did not buzz. I wonder if i forgot my user ID.
